Brian Powell will present an update on the Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan on January 8 at 1:30 in the Sabino Visitor Center Conference Room . Brian is Natural Resources Assistant Division Manager for Pima County. In this role he helps to manage 200,000+ acres of open-space lands. The Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan (SDCP), adopted by Pima County in 1998, seeks to ensure the long-term survival of our indigenous plants and animals by maintaining or improving habitat and ecosystems in the face of massive growth.
