The SCVN Advanced Training program on November 12 will feature three speakers who will discuss the impact of the Bighorn Fire on plant and animal life in the Catalina Mountains, including the role of invasive species. Speakeers will be: Julia Rowe, Invasive Species Research Specialist, Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum; Perry Grissom, Restoration Ecologist, Saguaro National Park; and John Scheuer, Conservation Director of Arizona Native Plant Society.
This till be a Zoom meeting, beginning at 1:30pm. Please watch for an email invitation and register to reserve your place as soon as possible. We exoect a large turnout for this session.
On Nov. 12, SCVN members should check in at 1:15 to be assured of a seat since attendance is limited to 100 people. SCVP members will be admitted afterward, as space permits.
