Now that we have had some rain and the creek is flowing again, this activity will restart.
Stop at the second shuttle creek crossing up the canyon to learn some of the geology of Sabino Canyon and the Santa Catalina mountains and to satisfy your long-held yearning to learn the skills needed to become a prospector.
Cancellation may occur if the creek flow is determined to be too high or too low or on very cold mornings. We depend on the stream flow. We often refer to “Goldilocks”—the creek has to be “not too high and not too low.”
The conditions have to be within tolerable limits (we offer a reasonable degree of flexibility). On some very chilly Thursday mornings, we may delay the start time for an hour. As the weather warms up in spring, it’s possible to start an hour earlier.
