Learn all about the saguaro, the largest cactus in the United States, which can live to be 200 years old and reach over 40 feet in height. This tree-like plant is a symbol of the American southwest, even though it only grows in a small geographic area—including Sabino Canyon. This is your chance to see parts of a giant up close, including saguaro “ribs,” “boots,” and more. Join us on the third Sunday of the month at the plaza in front of the Visitor Center.
